Fishing: Mille Lacs is the “Walleye Capital of the World”, but also great for panfish, bass, and muskies!
Watersports & Swimming: With lower boat traffic and calmer waters, Cove Bay is the perfect spot for tubing, waterskiing, wakeboarding. Stone’s Throw's rocky bottom is great for swimming, but be sure to pack some water shoes. We can also suggest several sandy beaches on the lake.
The Soo Line Trail: 11 miles of paved path connect Onamia, Wahkon, and Isle. Get on your bike or ATV, and stop for ice cream along the way!
Golf: Stone's Throw is within minutes of several courses offering something for every level of skill. Try Izaty's, Fiddlestix, or Northwood Hills Golf Course.
State Parks: Mille Lacs Kathio and Father Hennepin State Parks are both within 8 miles of Stone's Throw.
Not to mention...grilling out, canoeing, campfires, bocce ball, lounging, sunbathing, windsurfing, and just plain old relaxing.
Grand Casino Mille Lacs: Only 10 miles north on Hwy 169. Or, visit the Mille Lacs Indian Museum next door.
